Eco-friendliness within VP

Being a heritage company since 1896 has made VP very aware and considerate of thinking in terms of many years and beyond generations. Hence a sustainable development is a vital part of our company philosophy.

Securing life-sustaining natural resources is strongly embedded in daily business as well as in our long-term orientation. We count on raw materials derived from responsible forestry (FSC®), and in close liaison with our business partners we try hard to reduce material input wherever possible. Water-based colours and coatings diminish ecological damage during production to a minimum. Inevitable waste materials are collected separately on site and either recycled in-house or implemented into the cycle of further utilization by our certified disposal contractors.

We have identified the CO2 footprint of our products and manufacturing processes and can offer our customers to use our carbon neutral VP packaging.

We assess the environmental impact of all investments to aim at an increasing energy efficiency of our facilities and a constantly decreasing pollution.

Visible expression of VP’s commitment is the repeatedly successful certification according to DIN EN ISO 14001 and the voluntary membership of the Environmental Pact of Bavaria.
