Packaging with full sustainability
As an intergenerational family-owned company, preservation, long-term planning and sustainability are for us not just slogans, but part of the practised corporate strategy.
We have been investing in climate and environmental projects for decades in order to continuously reduce our CO2 emissions. To once again send a signal about the importance and transparency of this issue and to underline our core goal of reducing emissions, we have undergone independent Ecovadis certification and at the same time set ambitious reduction targets as part of the Science Based Targets Initiative.
Since 2014, we are a member of "climate protection company. The climate and energy efficiency group of German Business e. V.". Since the selection criteria are very strict, there are only a few climate protection companies in Germany.
Early on, we have switched our production to water-based printing inks and coatings as well as consistently optimised energy savings.
Perhaps our most important step was the development of a holistic climate strategy. Each year, we are calculating our CO2 footprint for the entire company as the basis for new savings targets.
Our goal
Our overarching strategic goals are to establish a systematic anchoring of our commitment to sustainability within the company. These goals are achieved with the help of substitutional, organizational, technical and personnel measures - in particular through clear responsibilities in all areas of the company, harmonization of activities with existing processes and regular monitoring and reporting of progress.
We are thus making a significant contribution to the Paris climate targets and aim to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050. We are committed to the goals of the UN Global Compact and the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
Our SBTi-validated targets for 2030 represent a reduction compared to the base year 2022 and are as follows:
Scope 1+2 - 42%
Scope 3 - 25%
Our measures - an extract
- Increased efficiency: By implementing load profile management, we can control and influence consumption
- Energy saving: Connection to a local solar park with a reduction of approx. 30% in purchased electricity

In order to achieve our ambitious goals, we will implement further measures:
- Developing energy efficiency measures to reduce energy consumption
- Involving our relevant suppliers to achieve our climate targets
- Recalculation of the product carbon footprint of all materials we use as a basis for further reduction measures
- Continuous involvement of employees in the company suggestion scheme
